SUNDAY AT FIRST MT. PLEASANT BAPTIST CHURCH - Frnaklin, Indiana

We arrived safely in Franklin, Indiana this past Friday.  We stopped and spent the night before in Columbus, Ohio.  While there we were able to visit Pastor and Mrs. Jimmy Hood (Amazing Grace Baptist Church).  They both are having to deal with some very serious health problems and so it was good to spend some time with them.  It also worked out to have supper with Evangelist David Evans and his family.  This was not planned as they were heading up to our area in Western New York for a tent meeting and we were headed to Indiana.  The Lord allowed our paths to cross and we had a good time with them.

I had the privilege of preaching Sunday School and Sunday evening at First Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  We have a meeting starting here this Sunday and are looking to see the Lord work.  Pastor Kent Kirchmeyer preached a great message Sunday morning on some things we have gained - starting with HIM!

Yesterday was Memorial Day and we enjoyed spending the day with Bro. Kirchmeyer and his family.  We are so thankful for those military members have served to defend our freedoms here in America.

TIME TO HIT THE ROAD AGAIN! FIRST MT. PLEASANT BAPTIST CHURCH - Franklin, Indiana

We have absolutely enjoyed our time home this last week.  It was good spending time with my family - we went to a baseball game, grilled out (a lot!) and just overall had a little mini "staycation" (which is good because there is very little time off between now and Christmas).  We also enjoyed being at Old Time on Sunday and then again last night seeing our church family.

We packed the van last night and will hit the road this morning and head to Franklin, Indiana to be at First Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where Kent Kirchmeyer is the pastor.  I have known this dear man of God for about 30 years and appreciate his friendship very much!  I have been doing the blog almost a year now and so I am looking forward to including more pictures from this meeting than last year (which I didn't do because I was just getting the hang of the blog and didn't really know what I was doing yet at the time).

Please be in prayer for the meeting!!!

NEXT STOP: OLD TIME BAPTIST CHURCH - Hamburg, New York

Tomorrow we will have the privilege of being at our home church.  A very special day is planned in advance of Memorial Day coming up next week: Armed Forces Day will feature a patriotic theme and a special guest speaker - Medal of Honor recipient Gary Beikirch.  There are currently only 91 living Medal of Honor recipients.  Mr. Beikirch is saved and attends a Bible-believing church in the Rochester, New York area and travels the country speaking and giving his testimony.  Local officials have been invited and all military members will be recognized and honored.

The service will be live-streamed on the church's website at 11:00am EST - you can access it by CLICKING HERE.

BUCK SETTLEMENT BAPTIST CHURCH - Bath, New York

This past Wednesday night we had the privilege of going to Buck Settlement Baptist Church down in Bath, New York (about 2 hours southeast of Hamburg) for their midweek service.  It was so good to see Pastor Greg Ferguson and all the folks there again.  The Lord has really been moving here in a big way over the last few weeks and they have seen several folks saved and many of them are going to be getting baptized this coming Sunday - praise the Lord!!!

This church loves to worship and the singing and special music is always uplifting and encouraging.  After the singing there was a powerful time of prayer.  After prayer I had the honor of preaching and the Lord blessed.  The Lord laid on my heart what to preach several days ago and it turned out to be a very timely message for what the church is seeing now.  I love it when the Lord does that!

After church we, along with the Fergusons and several of the church folks headed to Smokey's - a local truck stop restaurant that is about the only thing in town open at that hour (except for fast food - yuck!).  Smokey's is a Buck Settlement tradition and the fellowship is always wonderful there.

We will be back in September for their annual Fall Harvest Revival.  Evangelist Gary Lutrick and myself will be preaching together.

BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH - Bangor, Maine

We praise the Lord for a safe trip home from Maine, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.  It was a trip that lasted a little over two months and we traveled 6,100 miles.

This past Sunday we were with the Bible Baptist Church in Bangor, Maine (Pastor Artie Dean).  I believe this is our fourth year visiting this great church and as always we sure enjoyed our fellowship with Bro. Dean and his family at their house - they are a lot of fun.

The Lord really met with us in a big way in both services.  There was great singing and special music and God gave good liberty to preach.  There was also very good responses to the invitations and we thank the Lord for all that He did.  Three of Bro. Dean's children and another young lady from the church spent a long weekend down in Connecticut at Pastor Tom Benson's church singing for their anniversary meeting and they made it back for the evening service.  Stacie had the opportunity to teach Junior Church to the young people and she had a great time doing that.

Pastor Dean has invited us back for a revival meeting next year and we can't wait to go back!  Please pray for Bible Baptist Church as they are advancing in their building project.  They have received approval from the town planning board, all of the architectural drawings are completed, and they are currently in the bidding process.  They need thousands of yards of fill to get the property prepped and the first truck loads of that began arriving this past Friday.  God is really blessing and providing and the church is excited! Praise the Lord.

"THANK YOU" TO NEW LIFE BAPTIST CHURCH - Dover Foxcroft, Maine

Stacie and I want to thank Pastor David Ireland and the good people at New Life Baptist Church up here in Dover Foxcroft, Maine for their hospitality and kindness they have shown to us over the last month and a half.  You may recall reading on the blog about the revival meeting here at the beginning of April.  They have graciously allowed us to use their prophet's chamber as kind of a "home base" during our time in Maine and Canada.  We have greatly enjoyed their fellowship since we have been here and will be returning at the end of July for a few more weeks up here and for their first annual Camp Meeting at the beginning of August.

ONE FINAL SERVICE AT NEW LIFE BAPTIST CHURCH - Dover Foxcroft, Maine

Tonight we will be at New Life Baptist Church in Dover Foxcroft, Maine.  Pastor David Ireland asked me last night if I would be willing to preach.  It is going to be good to see all the people again one more time before we leave town on Saturday.  The Lord gave us a great revival here last month and we are truly grateful for all that He did.

GOOD DAY AT SEBEC CORNER BAPTIST CHURCH - Sebec, Maine

It was such a blessing to be at Sebec Corner Baptist Church in Sebec, Maine yesterday.  Pastor Isaiah Hill has been the pastor here for the past 42 years.  He and his dear wife, Rene, are such sweet people and they have been faithful all these years.  I am so glad to call him my friend and one of my heroes.

The Lord gave us good services with much liberty to preach, good singing and special music, and full altars in both the morning and evening services. A 74-year old man came forward during the morning and trusted Christ as Saviour!!!  The church had been praying for him and Pastor Hill has been faithfully witnessing to him for a number of years.

We enjoyed some wonderful fellowship and meals with the Hill's at their home after the morning and evening services and are thankful to be with them.

BACK IN THE UNITED STATES...

I just wanted to give a quick testimony praising the Lord for an easy border crossing this past Thursday morning in Houlton, Maine.  We always have issues crossing into Canada with customs.  I could elaborate why, but some things are better not put in print!  We have never had problems coming back into the States until last year.  Our vehicle was searched (three times!) and we were taken inside for interrogation.  I would say for questioning but it was more of an interrogation.  So needless to say, I was a little nervous about our crossing back into the U.S. this time.  Well, by and by it went like this: the officer asked a couple questions, took a quick look inside the door, handed our passports back to me and said "Welcome Home!"  When he said those words I almost shouted out loud praising God but I was reserved...until I rolled my window up and we started to pull away - then I started shouting!!!
