NEW HOPE BAPTIST CHURCH - Collins, New York

The 11th annual Winter Revival at New Hope Baptist Church in Collins, New York was last week.  Pastor Jack Seiler has been having Evangelist Don Hardman and myself in for this meeting since the beginning.  The theme for the week was "The Knotted Rope" - things that God gives us in our Christian life that we can hang on to that help us to keep going. It was a very cold week with a few snow storms which is usually par for the course every year during this week.

Several area churches came out every night and supported the meetings which I know was a blessing to the folks at New Hope.  Old Time Baptist Church in Hamburg (our home church for 23 years) moved their midweek service over on Wednesday.  It was good to see Pastor Lou Guadagno and so many of the folks who came out and we enjoyed the fellowship with them before and after the service.  Pastor Kevin Friedman (Faith Baptist Church in Springville) and most of his church were there each night including Thursday which is their midweek service.

One particular testimony that was a blessing was a dear lady in the church who got saved after the service on Friday night.  She said on her Facebook page later: "Tonight I realized I had a relationship with "church"... With "ministry"... With "people in the church"...with my "Bible"....with a "Profession" (that was made 32 years ago) But Never with Christ Himself!"  And that is what salvation is all about - Christ.  It's not US - it's HIM!  It's not DO - it's DONE!  Praise the Lord!!!

You will notice in the pictures below one of Stacie and my mom.  I just wanted to add that we have been staying with her during our time in New York and have been enjoying visiting with her.

Amazing Meeting at Tabernacle Baptist Church - Lake City, Florida

Last week I traveled with my buddy - Evangelist Gary Lutrick to Georgia and Florida. On Sunday he preached at Swamp Road Baptist Church in Waycross, Georgia and Emmanuel Baptist Church in Lyons, Georgia. We had good services and it was good to meet these folks for the first time.

Sunday night we traveled three hours south to Lake City, Florida to be at the Fellowship Meeting at Tabernacle Baptist Church where Mike Norman is the pastor. I have never been to a better camp meeting in my life. God moved in in a BIG, unexplainable way every service. The best way to describe it was that it was a cool drink of water. It was definitely one of those "you just had to be there" meetings.

It was also good to see a lot of folks I know and some of them I haven't seen in many years. I also got to meet some folks who I have heard of.
