APRIL / MAY 2013 Prayer letter

Below is our latest prayer letter.  It is also posted on the "current prayer letter" tab of the blog...

APRIL—MAY, 2013

Dear Friends,

Proverbs 25:11 reminds us that “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.”  We often hear this verse but I got to meditating on it in the context of preaching and the great responsibility that preachers have as God’s messengers.  We need to deliver the message that God wants us to (be it an encouraging one, a  rebuking one, a combination, or whatever else) instead of using the pulpit for our own soapbox used as a place for us to grind an axe.

April and May were filled with meetings at New Life Baptist Church in Dover Foxcroft, Maine (Pastor David Ireland); McKenzie Corner Baptist Church in New Brunswick, Canada (Pastor Andy Nissley); Amherst Open Bible Baptist Church in Amherst, Nova Scotia (Pastor Jamey Grooms); Victory Baptist Church in Kemptville, Nova Scotia (Pastor Joey Ring); Sebec Corner Baptist Church in Sebec, Maine (Pastor Isaiah Hill); Bible Baptist Church in Bangor, Maine (Pastor Artie Dean); and Buck Settlement Baptist Church in Bath, New York.  We also were able to be at home at Old Time Baptist Church for a couple of services after we got back from Maine.  We saw the Lord give us great  services in all of the churches we were honored to be at.  There was good singing, good special music, liberty to preach and tremendous responses during the invitations.  We are thankful for the way everybody took such good care of us and we enjoyed the fellowship with God’s people.

At the end of May we were able to spend a week home with the family and we always cherish that time as it only happens a few weeks out of the year.  We packed up the van just before Memorial day and headed to Indiana for our next meeting.  We are looking forward to a busy summer with our travels taking us to Indiana, New York, Ohio, West Virginia, Maine and then back to New York.  These meetings will be revivals, tent meetings and camp meetings.  If you want to keep up with us on a more regular basis you can check out our blog and also follow us on Twitter.  That information is listed on the left side of this prayer letter in the blue section.

From the bottom of our hearts Stacie and I want to thank each and everyone of you for your prayers and support.  It is such a blessing to know that we are traveling the country there are people taking time out of their schedules to pray for us and some who have even sacrificed financially.  We want you to know we appreciate all of you very much and pray God blesses you fro your care for us!

In HIS service,

Craig A. Cobb
