We trust that you all had a great time over the holidays! For Thanksgiving we traveled to New York to spend time my family. We stayed with my mom and had Thanksgiving dinner at my sister's house with her family.
We got back to Indiana and prepared for our trip to Victory Baptist Church in Calrkston, Michigan for their winter revival. I preached all day Sunday and then during the week I preached with Evangelist Robert Foltz of Toledo, Ohio and Pastor Rick Drummond from Lebanon, Ohio. Pastor Bob Nogalski and his family are always a blessing to us and we enjoy their fellowship very much. It was a good meeting and Bro. Nogalski said it was a helpful week for the church.
For Christmas we traveled to North Carolina to spend a week with Stacie's family. Her parents, brother and one of her sisters are all in that area. One of her other sisters and her boys drove over for the weekend. We haven't seen them in a couple of years and we enjoyed our visit. I had the privilege to preach at their church (Faith Baptist Church in Elizabeth City) on the Sunday morning after Christmas.
We arrived safely back home in Indiana on December 30th. Our pastor is still recovering from surgery and it has been very slow and frustrating for him. As a result, I have been filling the pulpit for him for the past few weeks. I always enjoy the opportunity to preach but would much rather have him "back in the saddle"! Lord willing, he is planning on preaching this coming Sunday.
We would normally have begun this year in Cape Coral, Florida at New Testament Baptist Church where we have for the last several years but the Lord had other plans. Sometimes He just changes things up for reasons known only to Him. Back in December He made it clear to me that we were not going to the meeting this year. I am thankful to Pastor Bill Roan for being so gracious and understanding in this and inviting us back for January 2016.
We are looking forward to 2015. The Lord has started to open a couple of new doors for us and we are excited about that. It is always a blessing to see Him working. Stacie continues to get settled in to our new apartment here at the church. We are thankful for Pastor Kent Kirchmeyer and the folks here at First Mount Pleasant Baptist Church making us feel so welcome and helping to make the transition a smooth one.
Thank you to all who pray for us! Please keep it up as we also pray for you. May God bless you as you continue to serve Him!
