Smelling like maple smoked bacon...

The past week has been rather busy with two meetings that were added to our schedule since we've been in Maine. Sunday before last we started a four day meeting at Second Baptist Church in Palermo, Maine with Pastor Chuck Barnes. One lady (a church member) got saved Sunday evening. It was a good week. We stayed in a furnished cabin with a wood burning stove as the only source of heat. Most of the wood we had to work with the first couple of days was pretty green so it was either cold or hot, and often smoky! Then we got a bunch of dried birch, ash and maple. Much better fires! It was fun, but after we left, all our stuff smelled like a smokehouse. Some of it still does.  Definitely nice to vacation with, but for daily living – give me a thermostat!

With only one day to do laundry and repack, we were off for a weekend trip to Amherst Open Bible Baptist in Nova Scotia with Pastor Jamey Grooms. Craig preached all day Sunday. A gentleman made a profession of faith Sunday night. We are scheduled to return for a week meeting next year. At both places, we enjoyed fellowshipping with our new friends/family. God is filling our schedule abundantly!

Being only an hour from Prince Edward Island, we decided to visit there on Monday. It was a beautiful place.  Definitely worth the time if you ever get close enough.

Tonight, Craig is preaching at the church that has been our "home base" for these last weeks, New Life Baptist Church. On Sunday we will be with Pastor Isaiah Hill at Sebec Corner. This man is one of Craig's "heroes of the faith."

Our time in Maine is quickly drawing to a close. It is amazing how fast time goes by. One more church in southern Maine as we head home for our building dedication.

The battle seems to be waging more intense every day. Churches and pastors all over are struggling. We need to be sure that we are prepared for what lies ahead. Pray, Read, Witness!

       II Cor 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;
     Eph 6:13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Fighting with you in the battle
