APRIL - JUNE 2017 SCHEDULE

Next Saturday, April 8th I will hop on another plane and head out to the great state of Maine!  I've been home for about a week and a half and have enjoyed spending time with Stacie and Jack and Jase.  I also have had the privilege of preaching at our church a couple of times.

Below you will find our updated schedule thru June.  I am thankful that the Lord has filled a couple of spots on the schedule while I am up in Maine.  There are still a couple open and we will see what the Lord will do.

We greatly appreciate all of you who pray for us.  We sure do need to be praying for each other!

PRAYER LETTER - July 15, 2016

July 15, 2016

Dear Co-labourers in the Lord,

Greetings in our Saviour’s precious Name!  It is our prayer that you are doing well and staying busy in these uncertain last days.  As the old hymn says…“we’ll soon be done with troubles and trials”.  We are doing well and are thankful for all of your prayers.

Since our last letter, I have been in the following churches…

   *Tabernacle Baptist Church—Lake City, Florida

   *Faith Baptist Church—Springville, New York

   *Blessed Hope Baptist Church—Aberdeen, Maryland

*New Life Baptist Church—Dover Foxcroft, Maine

*River Valley Baptist Church—Woodstock, New Brunswick

   *Second Baptist Church—Palermo, Maine

*Seal Cover Baptist Church—Mount Desert Island, Maine

   *Sebec Corner Baptist Church—Sebec, Maine

   *Bible Baptist Church—Digby, Nova Scotia

*First Mount Pleasant Baptist Church—Franklin, Indiana

*Cornerstone Bible Baptist Church—Sanborn, New York

   *Evangelical Baptist Church—Buffalo, New York

   *Liberty Baptist Church—Moraine, Ohio

I also spent three weeks in March up in Maine at New Life Baptist Church filling in for Pastor David Ireland as he was going thru some serious health issues.  He is since doing much better and we praise the Lord for it.  God has given us some very good meetings and some folks expressed that they got some help.  We have seen some cancellations this year for various reasons and it looks like three meetings that have been taking place yearly are no more.  I do not make phone calls to book meetings so we continue to just pray and trust the Lord to fill the calendar as He sees fit according to His will.  If and when you pray for the Cobbs, as well as other evangelists you may know, please lift up our schedules before the Lord.

Next week I head back up to Maine then on to Texas, New York and Pennsylvania and will get back home the first of September.  Please continue to pray for safety and that the Lord would use us however He chooses.

One other special matter I would also humbly ask you to keep in prayer is for the Lord’s will regarding a couple of trips in February and March of 2017.  I have the opportunity to go to Germany for a special meeting and then to Jordan on a missions trip.  Both are very exciting opportunities to serve and try to be a help to God’s people.

In His service,

Bro. Craig

APRIL / MAY / JUNE UPDATE

We were at the following churches in April, May and June...

• New Life Baptist Church - Dover Foxcroft, Maine (Pastor David Ireland)
• River Valley Baptist Church - Woodstock, New Brunswick (Pastor Andy Nissley - formerly McKenzie Corner Baptist Church)
• Sebec Corner Baptist Church - Sebec, Maine (Pastor Isaiah Hill)
• Grace Baptist Church - Philadelphia, Tennessee (Pastor Keith Woodby)
• First Mount Pleasant Baptist Church - Franklin, Indiana (Pastor Kent Kirchmeyer)
• Cornerstone Bible Baptist Church - Sanborn, New York (Pastor Jack Britt)
• Liberty Baptist Church - Miamisburg, Ohio (Pastor Tom Gresham)

It seems like we say it so often that it has lost it's meaning but it really is true that the Lord gave us some really good meetings at these churches.  A pastor once told me that he's never heard of an evangelist who ever had a bad meeting - I know what he was saying because no evangelist wants to admit when he blows it!   He would be too afraid of not being invited to preach by some pastor somewhere. Well I sure have had my fair share of bad sermons and bad meetings and I am positive there will be more to come!

SOME HIGHLIGHTS:

NEW LIFE BAPTIST CHURCH:

God led to have "Victory In Jesus" as the theme.  It seems everywhere we go lately we find so many of God's people struggling and the Lord gave some folks some help this week.

RIVER VALLEY BAPTIST CHURCH:

It was exciting to be with Pastor Nissley and these gracious people again.  They recently changed the church name from McKenzie Corner Baptist Church and were meeting in a hotel conference room.  They have since moved into a store front in the middle of town and are excited about the future.

SEBEC CORNER BAPTIST CHURCH:

It is always good to be with Bro. Hill at Sebec Corner.  We had a good Sunday and enjoyed our fellowship with these saints of God.

GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH:

I had the privilege of preaching with some local preaches as well as Evangelist Ron Hoy from West Virginia.  I met them in Florida back in February and this was our first meeting together.  The Hoy Family does a great job singing and were a blessing in the services.

CORNERSTONE BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH:

This was our 14th year in a row to be with Pastor Jack Britt and this church near Niagara Falls.  It was good to be with the Norton Family again - also known as the Seminole String Band.  What a precious, humble family they are and we look forward to being with them again up here in Maine next week.

FIRST MOUNT PLEASANT BAPTIST CHURCH:

I preached my first meeting as a member of First Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Franklin, Indiana.  I have been preaching this meeting for several years now, but this was the first time since God moved us here last fall.

LIBERTY BAPTIST CHURCH:

What a blessing to be back for the annual camp meeting at Liberty.  I had the honor of preaching each night with a different local preacher as well as Evangelist Stan Rogers.  What another sweet family who travel full time in evangelism as well as singing for the glory of God these folks are.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN!

The bus is packed, the car is hooked up and we are ready to hit the road!  Yesterday was our last service at our home church until towards the end of May.  We leave later this morning for Maine, New Brunswick and Tennessee.  We are asking for God to do great things in the churches we visit on this trip.  We earnestly covet your prayers for the meetings, for safety while traveling and for the bus and car to run with no problems.  It will be good to see many of you on this trip!

THE BUS IS READY TO ROLL...well not quite!

Yesterday I spent the whole day with a man in our church getting the bus ready to hit the road.  He graciously let us store it in one of his barns for the winter and yesterday he did some maintenance: oil change, fluids checked, fuel filter changed, tires aired up and a couple of other things.  I want to thank Bro. Tim Aldrich for all of his hard work yesterday - what a blessing!  After we got that done I drove it over to the church and got it set up.  It was good to be behind the wheel and driving it again!

Now comes the real work - getting it packed and ready to hit the road.  Stacie has her work cut out for her these next few days!  We will pull out of Franklin on Monday, April 6th and head for Maine and New Brunswick.  Please pray for this trip - we are asking God for safety (no bus problems!) and for some good meetings.
