APRIL - JUNE, 2018

Dear Brethren,

Greetings in the Master’s Holy Name!  Proverbs 3:5-6 admonishes us to “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” I sure am glad we don’t have to figure this life out.  All we have to do is LEAN on Him and TRUST Him!!!

So far this year we have been in meetings in Texas, Florida (three times), Michigan, Georgia and Indiana.  I also made a trip up to Maine to visit with a pastor who is having serious health issues.  I would ask you to please keep Pastor David Ireland, his wife, family and church in your prayers.  It was good to spend time with him and Pastor David Evans from Alabama.  Bro. Evans made a trip there and it coincided with mine.

We have been in some pretty good services and God has helped us in our parts in these meetings.  It has been a mix of revival meetings, camp meetings and Sunday services.  I hope and pray I never get used to being in the work of God.  Is it always easy? No!  Is it challenging at times? Definitely!  Do I understand what God is doing all the time? Hardly!  Do I have any complaints? NO WAY!!!  When we stop to really think and ponder what we DESERVE - it makes the path of this life a breeze.

Coming up for the next three months we will be in Maine, Ohio, Maryland, Alabama and New York.  I would ask you to please pray with us that God would fill in the gaps in our schedule as He sees fit.  Pray also for safety while traveling and for God to continue to meet the needs.

Stacie is doing good and so are Jack and Jase.  I thank the Lord for a good lady to go thru this life with!  God sure blessed me.

Let me say in closing I want to sincerely thank each and everyone of you who prays for us and for those who support us financially.  You will never know what your investment into our ministry means.

May 2017 Prayer Letter

Dear Friends,

Greetings in the Master’s Holy Name!  I want to bring you all up to speed on what is going on with the Cobb’s.  As always we sincerely thank each and every one of you that prays for us.  We never take this lightly and are humbled that anyone would take the time to lift us up in prayer, no matter how often or intense it may be.

Since our last letter the Lord has kept me very busy and I am eternally grateful.  The meeting in Germany was unbelievable and it was a blessing to be able to go.  I am making plans to go back in 2018.  I have been to Maine, New Brunswick, Maryland and to  Nova Scotia (twice) as well as preach several times at our home church here in Indiana.  The Lord has really given us some good meetings—and I don’t say that “evangelistically speaking” or mean it to be just something that sounds good in a prayer letter.  God really helped some people and churches in big ways and we also saw a few souls trust Christ.  God is good! 

The last few days have been very busy getting the bus ready to hit the road.  At the writing of this letter, we will be leaving in two days to our next meetings which will be in New York.  I am excited that for the next five months Stacie and I will be together.  I will still have the occasional meeting to fly to, but for the most part we will be together. 

Our schedule thru the summer will take us to New York for a month, Ohio for a couple weeks, Maine for three weeks, Texas and then back to New York.  For more detailed dates and locations you can check out our website at www.EvangelistCraigCobb.com.  If you would like—you can sign up on the website to receive email updates when we post something.

I also want to thank you all for praying for my pastor—Kent Kirchmeyer—and his recovery from major back surgery.  He is doing well but has many months of adjusting ahead of him.  I appreciate people who have asked how he is doing.

Janaury 2017 prayer letter

February, 2017

Dear Friends,

Philippians 1:3-5 says, “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making     request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now…”  These verses are dear to us when it comes to thinking of the YOU—the precious saints that we have had the privilege to get to meet and know in the churches the Lord has    allowed us to minister.  Stacie and I are very grateful for the friendships God has allowed us to make.  We also want to thank all of you who pray for this ministry the Lord has given us and do not take those prayers for granted. We have some very specific things we are praying about this year and would ask you to join us.  God knows the details and as with everything we are trusting Him.

The last quarter of 2016 found us in Alabama, New York twice, Ohio and Michigan.  January isn't even over and already we have been to Florida, Texas and Louisiana.  I leave again this Friday and head back to Texas and from there visit churches in Mississippi & Louisiana and then to Florida for the next meeting.  The Lord has been very good to us as always and are grateful for the opportunity to serve Him. 

We are both doing well and are thankful for good health.  And “the boys” (Jack and Jase) are doing good and are spoiled more  than ever.  They make great companions and especially for Stacie for those trips when it is just me traveling.

I am very excited to share with you a big answer to prayer!  We mentioned in a past letter about the opportunity to possibly go to Germany in February.  This past Saturday the Lord provided and my ticket was booked! To God be the glory!!!  This will be my first trip to Europe and I am very excited to go to Dresden and be a part of the meeting that veteran missionary Rick Weimer is hosting.

We look forward to seeing many of you in our travels this year.  What a blessing it is to see the family!  Our travels these next    couple of months will take us to...Florida, New York, Germany and Nova Scotia.  It is an honor to serve the Lord.

PRAYER LETTER - July 15, 2016

July 15, 2016

Dear Co-labourers in the Lord,

Greetings in our Saviour’s precious Name!  It is our prayer that you are doing well and staying busy in these uncertain last days.  As the old hymn says…“we’ll soon be done with troubles and trials”.  We are doing well and are thankful for all of your prayers.

Since our last letter, I have been in the following churches…

I also spent three weeks in March up in Maine at New Life Baptist Church filling in for Pastor David Ireland as he was going thru some serious health issues.  He is since doing much better and we praise the Lord for it.  God has given us some very good meetings and some folks expressed that they got some help.  We have seen some cancellations this year for various reasons and it looks like three meetings that have been taking place yearly are no more.  I do not make phone calls to book meetings so we continue to just pray and trust the Lord to fill the calendar as He sees fit according to His will.  If and when you pray for the Cobbs, as well as other evangelists you may know, please lift up our schedules before the Lord.

Next week I head back up to Maine then on to Texas, New York and Pennsylvania and will get back home the first of September.  Please continue to pray for safety and that the Lord would use us however He chooses.

One other special matter I would also humbly ask you to keep in prayer is for the Lord’s will regarding a couple of trips in February and March of 2017.  I have the opportunity to go to Germany for a special meeting and then to Jordan on a missions trip.  Both are very exciting opportunities to serve and try to be a help to God’s people.

JANUARY 2016 PRAYER LETTER

Dear Praying Friends,

It is with grateful hearts that Stacie and I send you greetings.  We want to thank you very much for all of your prayers and support of our ministry in evangelism.  This past August marked 14 years of traveling the roads full time.  God has certainly been very good to us and has provided every need according to His will and we stand in amazement and deep gratitude for all of His blessings.

2015 ROUND UP:

The Lord really gave us some great meetings last year.  We saw some folks respond by trusting Christ and saw a few sparks of what I would classify as true, heaven-sent revival.  It was a joy to see the mighty hand of God move in the services and for folks to just get out of the way and let Him do whatever He wanted to.  Space does not permit me to go into detail like I want to.  The last half of the year found us in Ohio, Maine, New York, Texas, Alabama, back to New York, Pennsylvania, back to Ohio, Michigan and then home for the holidays.  It was a joy to be home and preach at our church during the Christmas/New Year’s weeks in order to give my preacher a well-deserved break.

2016 THUS FAR and LOOKING AHEAD:

I started January in Cape Coral, Florida at New Testament Baptist Church and then went to Houston, Texas for the camp meeting at Shady Acres Baptist Church.  While I was in Texas my preacher ended up in the hospital with meningitis, MRSA and a severe sinus infection for which he will need surgery.  Our original plan when I returned was to head to Maine to help New Life Baptist Church out for a couple of months over the winter.  My pastor’s health necessitated the postponement of this trip.  I have been preaching here for the past couple of weeks and will continue to do so for the near foreseeable future and will wait for the Lord’s leading on our trip to Maine as all depends on his health.  I would earnestly ask for you all to put Pastor Kent Kirchmeyer on your prayer lists and keep praying for his continued recovery.

JANUARY - MARCH 2015 PRAYER LETTER

JANUARY—MARCH, 2015

Dear Friends,

Greetings in our Saviour’s holy and precious Name!  In Psalm 34:1, David declares “I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”  As I began to write this letter this verse yelled from my heart.  We have so much to be thankful for and to praise Him for.  God is so good to us!

First, an update on 2015 thus far…  We were home for all of January and I was able to fill the pulpit for the first two weeks of the month for my preacher who was recovering from surgery.  The Lord worked this out for sure as we are normally in Florida and Alabama this time of year.  In February I flew to Florida to be at the annual Fellowship Meeting at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lake City (Pastor Mike Norman).  This was my first time there and what a meeting God gave us.  I posted a lot of pics and videos on our website and our Facebook page.  From there I flew back to Indiana where Stacie had the car packed and we headed to New York.

We were at New Hope Baptist Church in Collins, New York (Pastor Jack Seiler) for their annual winter revival with myself and Evangelist Don Hardman.  It was good to see some church members trust Christ!  The following Sunday we were at Buck Settlement Baptist Church (Pastor Greg Ferguson).  It was good being “up on the hill” again and we enjoyed it very much.  I had the privilege of preaching in the morning service there.  I then had the privilege of going to the annual Youth Ablaze meeting in Rochester, New York hosted by Chili Bible Baptist Church (Pastor Hal Roscoe).  This was the first time there and what a great youth meeting with a completely spiritual emphasis this is.  On Saturday morning I got to preach the gospel to the about 800 or so in attendance—what an honor!

Then on our last Sunday in New York it was a blessing to be at Faith Baptist Church in Springville (Pastor Kevin Friedman) - one of our supporting churches.  I preached in the morning and evening services and we had a great day in church and some great fellowship.  We then headed back to Indiana for the month March.  On March 29th we were at Highway Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio (Pastor Cliff Parks).  In June they will be celebrating their 10th anniversary.  We were there for their first one and it was good to be there again.  I also got to preach several times at our home church for different services.

Coming up…  The bus came out of storage last week and after a day of maintenance and getting it ready (with a BIG thanks to a man in our church who did 99% of the work!) I drove it to the church to be packed up and get ready to hit the road.  Stacie has been such a hard worker these last few days and the end is in sight.  We will be home for Resurrection Sunday and then we head out next week for Maine, New Brunswick Canada and Tennessee.  While we are going to miss everybody here at home, we are excited to get back in the bus and on the road for an extended period of time.  We are asking the Lord to give some great meetings and please pray for the Lord to use us as we try to be a help and encouragement to some churches.  We thank you all for your prayers and support!
