BACK ON THE TRAIL & CALENDAR UPDATE

Words cannot express how much Stacie and I have enjoyed being home together these last three weeks over the Christmas and New Year's holiday season.  I was able to do a good bit of preaching at our home church for my Pastor - Kent Kirchmeyer - enabling him to take a bit of a much-deserved break.

That being said, it is time to get back on the road to the places our Lord allows us to go.  Early tomorrow morning I will head to the Indianapolis Airport and hop on a plane to Southwest Florida.  Now I do understand most of the country is in the deep-freezer, so please don't let a root of bitterness or jealousy make it's way into your heart.  This is the ministry the Lord has given us so we are just doing our best to be in the service of the King!

Below you will find out schedule for the first couple of months of 2018.  You can visit our "UPCOMING SCHEDULE" page anytime on the website.  We do covet your prayers for God to use us to be a help in these churches for His honor and glory as well as safety in our travels.

Happy New Year 2018

It's hard to believe but 2018 is already upon us.  It seems we say at the beginning of every January how quickly the time is going, but it is so true.  It is our prayer as we begin the new year that your heart's desire is to serve the Lord to the best of your ability with His help.

Thank you all for your friendship and support.  As the year progresses, we look forward to seeing many of you in our travels and we earnestly covet your prayers in the following areas...

  • Safety as we travel
  • God to fill the calendar as He sees fit
  • Wisdom
  • All needs to be met

DECEMBER ('15) - JANUARY ('16) UPDATE

VICTORY BAPTIST CHURCH - Clarkston, Michigan
I believe this was our fourth year to be with my good friend Pastor Bob Nogalski and the folks at Victory Baptist Church for their annual winter revival.  Evangelist Bob Foltz from Toledo (Ohio), Evangelist Mark McGaughey from Pell City (Alabama) and I were the preachers.  It is always a great time being with the Nogalski Family - they sure know how to spoil their guests.  There was a good spirit in the services and we saw a few visitors during the week.

On Wednesday morning we left the house at 4:30am and drove to Columbus, Ohio to attend the funeral of one of my heroes - Pastor Jimmy Hood.  It was a blessing to be able to be there.  Many preacher friends from around the country were in attendance and Pastor Jobe Beechler preached a great message.  The whole service was a tribute to what the Lord can do in a man's life.  We left immediately afterwards and made it back to Michigan just in time for the service.

FIRST MT. PLEASANT BAPTIST CHURCH - Franklin, Indiana
It was planned over a year ago for us to be home around the Christmas/New Year's holidays in order for me to give my preacher (Pastor Kent Kirchmeyer) a break.  We enjoyed being home for Christmas.  I believe the services went well and it was my desire to preach some messages that would be a help to our church.  I was able to see the Lord do a couple of miraculous things and it meant so much to me.  We are very thankful for the dear folks here at our home church.

NEW TESTAMENT BAPTIST CHURCH - Cape Coral, Florida
On Monday, January 4th I got to the Indianapolis Airport to catch an early morning flight to southwest Florida.  We did not make the camp meeting at New Testament Baptist Church last year and so it was good to be back with Pastor Bill Roan and this church.  It was also good to see some friends from around the country at this meeting such as Pastor Mike Keenan from Pennsylvania and Pete Guadagno from Old Time Baptist Church in Hamburg, New York.  Bro. Pete did a great job leading the singing.

SHADY ACRES BAPTIST CHURCH - Houston, Texas
I flew from Florida to Houston for the camp meeting at Shady Acres.  I stayed with my buddy - Evangelist Gary Lutrick and we always have a good time together.  His dear wife, Stephanie, was in the hospital for the first 3 days I was there but she did come home and even ended up going to the last 4 nights of the meeting.  I was at this meeting about 10 years ago and have always wanted to get back.  God was in all of the services but really moved in a big way on Thursday and Friday night.  Thursday night was one of those "you just had to be there" services.  The glory of God got pretty thick in there for over an hour at the end of the service.  There were waves and waves of people flooding the altars.  What a great time!

BACK HOME - FIRST MT. PLEASANT BAPTIST CHURCH - Franklin, Indiana
The day before I got back from Texas my preacher was admitted to the hospital with meningitis, MRSA and a double ear infection.  As I was landing in Indianapolis he was having a seizure and he spent the next four days in the hospital.  I preached the next two Sunday's and Wednesday's while he was recovering at home.  I know that many dear saints of God around the country have been praying for him and I know that he appreciates it and so does our church.  This past Sunday he was determined to preach and the Lord helped him preach both the morning and evening services.  He paid a physical price of exhaustion and pounding headaches but he still did it.  The Lord really gave him the strength to get back in his pulpit.

UPDATE ON PASTOR KIRCHMEYER'S HEALTH:
In addition to the above health issues that I mentioned he has a severe sinus infection that is going to require surgery to correct.  He goes to a specialist next Monday and we are all praying the surgery is scheduled soon so he can get some relief from these issues.  Once again - thank you all for praying and I ask that you please keep it up!

JANUARY 2016 PRAYER LETTER

There will be some updates coming to the website in the next few days (December/January report, updated schedule, etc.) but here is our latest prayer letter...

January 26, 2016

Dear Praying Friends,
It is with grateful hearts that Stacie and I send you greetings.  We want to thank you very much for all of your prayers and support of our ministry in evangelism.  This past August marked 14 years of traveling the roads full time.  God has certainly been very good to us and has provided every need according to His will and we stand in amazement and deep gratitude for all of His blessings.

2015 ROUND UP:
The Lord really gave us some great meetings last year.  We saw some folks respond by trusting Christ and saw a few sparks of what I would classify as true, heaven-sent revival.  It was a joy to see the mighty hand of God move in the services and for folks to just get out of the way and let Him do whatever He wanted to.  Space does not permit me to go into detail like I want to.  The last half of the year found us in Ohio, Maine, New York, Texas, Alabama, back to New York, Pennsylvania, back to Ohio, Michigan and then home for the holidays.  It was a joy to be home and preach at our church during the Christmas/New Year’s weeks in order to give my preacher a well-deserved break.

2016 THUS FAR and LOOKING AHEAD:
I started January in Cape Coral, Florida at New Testament Baptist Church and then went to Houston, Texas for the camp meeting at Shady Acres Baptist Church.  While I was in Texas my preacher ended up in the hospital with meningitis, MRSA and a severe sinus infection for which he will need surgery.  Our original plan when I returned was to head to Maine to help New Life Baptist Church out for a couple of months over the winter.  My pastor’s health necessitated the postponement of this trip.  I have been preaching here for the past couple of weeks and will continue to do so for the near foreseeable future and will wait for the Lord’s leading on our trip to Maine as all depends on his health.  I would earnestly ask for you all to put Pastor Kent Kirchmeyer on your prayer lists and keep praying for his continued recovery.

October 2015 Update - Part One

BUCK SETTLEMENT BAPTIST CHURCH - Bath, New York...

A meeting the first week of the month got cancelled and so Pastor Greg Ferguson at Buck Settlement Baptist Church asked me if I wanted to preach for him on that Sunday and Wednesday.  The Lord really moved in the Sunday and Wednesday night services.  The altars were full and the preacher said the messages were a real help to some folks who were struggling with some things in their lives.  Praise the Lord!

ANNIVERSARY...

On Thursday, October 8th - Stacie and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary.  I thank the Lord for the godly lady He gave me.  It is such a blessing to be married to your best friend.  She has been my help in life and the ministry.

SEMPRONIUS BAPTIST CHURCH - Moravia, New York

This was our fourth annual fall meeting here at Sempronius with Pastor Dennis Grimes and his folks.  They are a great church way out in the country in Central New York.  We had some great services during the week.  One of the young men who is in Bible college in Florida actually drove home (1100 miles each way) just to be in the meeting.  The church is doing good and has been seeing some visitors recently.  On Friday night of the meeting they have a youth rally and this year it was unique.  There were no skits - instead Pastor Grimes had a man come in from another church in the area and we had an old-fashion "singspiration".  Almost 200 teens from churches as far as 4 hours away came for the service.  After about 30 minutes of singing the Lord led me to preach the gospel message.  Any and all lost people there are now accountable for hearing the truth and we pray the seed that was planted will be used to bring a great harvest.

CORNERSTONE BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH - Prospect, Maine

Last week we had our first revival meeting at Cornerstone Bible Baptist Church in Prospect, Maine.  Pastor Ray Hedgpath started this work 14 years ago.  We have known he and his family for many years thru the meetings at New Life Baptist Church in Dover Foxcroft and last year attended their meeting with Evangelist David Evans.

The Lord really gave us a great spirit in all of the services and He helped Stacie and I as we sang special music and then me as I preached.  Pastor David Ireland from New Life and several of their people came out Friday and Saturday night.  We enjoyed our fellowship with the Hedgpaths and the church folks.  We are already looking forward to next year!

The bus is packed, the car is hooked up and we are ready to hit the road!  Yesterday was our last service at our home church until towards the end of May.  We leave later this morning for Maine, New Brunswick and Tennessee.  We are asking for God to do great things in the churches we visit on this trip.  We earnestly covet your prayers for the meetings, for safety while traveling and for the bus and car to run with no problems.  It will be good to see many of you on this trip!

JANUARY - MARCH 2015 PRAYER LETTER

JANUARY—MARCH, 2015

Dear Friends,

Greetings in our Saviour’s holy and precious Name!  In Psalm 34:1, David declares “I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”  As I began to write this letter this verse yelled from my heart.  We have so much to be thankful for and to praise Him for.  God is so good to us!

First, an update on 2015 thus far…  We were home for all of January and I was able to fill the pulpit for the first two weeks of the month for my preacher who was recovering from surgery.  The Lord worked this out for sure as we are normally in Florida and Alabama this time of year.  In February I flew to Florida to be at the annual Fellowship Meeting at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lake City (Pastor Mike Norman).  This was my first time there and what a meeting God gave us.  I posted a lot of pics and videos on our website and our Facebook page.  From there I flew back to Indiana where Stacie had the car packed and we headed to New York.

We were at New Hope Baptist Church in Collins, New York (Pastor Jack Seiler) for their annual winter revival with myself and Evangelist Don Hardman.  It was good to see some church members trust Christ!  The following Sunday we were at Buck Settlement Baptist Church (Pastor Greg Ferguson).  It was good being “up on the hill” again and we enjoyed it very much.  I had the privilege of preaching in the morning service there.  I then had the privilege of going to the annual Youth Ablaze meeting in Rochester, New York hosted by Chili Bible Baptist Church (Pastor Hal Roscoe).  This was the first time there and what a great youth meeting with a completely spiritual emphasis this is.  On Saturday morning I got to preach the gospel to the about 800 or so in attendance—what an honor!

Then on our last Sunday in New York it was a blessing to be at Faith Baptist Church in Springville (Pastor Kevin Friedman) - one of our supporting churches.  I preached in the morning and evening services and we had a great day in church and some great fellowship.  We then headed back to Indiana for the month March.  On March 29th we were at Highway Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio (Pastor Cliff Parks).  In June they will be celebrating their 10th anniversary.  We were there for their first one and it was good to be there again.  I also got to preach several times at our home church for different services.

Coming up…  The bus came out of storage last week and after a day of maintenance and getting it ready (with a BIG thanks to a man in our church who did 99% of the work!) I drove it to the church to be packed up and get ready to hit the road.  Stacie has been such a hard worker these last few days and the end is in sight.  We will be home for Resurrection Sunday and then we head out next week for Maine, New Brunswick Canada and Tennessee.  While we are going to miss everybody here at home, we are excited to get back in the bus and on the road for an extended period of time.  We are asking the Lord to give some great meetings and please pray for the Lord to use us as we try to be a help and encouragement to some churches.  We thank you all for your prayers and support!

In His service,

Craig Cobb

TOMORROW - HIGHWAY BAPTIST CHURCH

We will leave this afternoon for Dayton, Ohio to be at the Highway Baptist Church tomorrow where my good friend Cliff Parks is the pastor.  Bro. Parks was an evangelist for many years before starting this church.  This June will be their 10th anniversary.  We are looking forward to some good fellowship with the Parks family and several games of "Aggravation" (which the men will win, hands down!).  I will post a report and some pictures on Monday.

THE BUS IS READY TO ROLL...well not quite!

Yesterday I spent the whole day with a man in our church getting the bus ready to hit the road.  He graciously let us store it in one of his barns for the winter and yesterday he did some maintenance: oil change, fluids checked, fuel filter changed, tires aired up and a couple of other things.  I want to thank Bro. Tim Aldrich for all of his hard work yesterday - what a blessing!  After we got that done I drove it over to the church and got it set up.  It was good to be behind the wheel and driving it again!

Now comes the real work - getting it packed and ready to hit the road.  Stacie has her work cut out for her these next few days!  We will pull out of Franklin on Monday, April 6th and head for Maine and New Brunswick.  Please pray for this trip - we are asking God for safety (no bus problems!) and for some good meetings.
