UNOFFICIAL CLOSE TO CAMP MEETING

Our Camp Meeting always ends on Friday but we have kind of an "unofficial" close the Sunday following.  It was a pretty good day in church.  Evangelist Doug Stauffer preached the Sunday school hour, I preached the morning service and Pastor Bob Nogalski preached the evening service tonight.  After the service was also one final shot at the food court with some sweet fellowship.

We had a good camp meeting this year and we look forward to next year!

DAY 6 - OLD TIME BAPTIST CAMP MEETING - "HIGHER GROUND"

The 29th annual Old Time Baptist Camp Meeting is now in the history books.  I will be posting some pics from the meeting as soon as I can get them from our church photographer.  We averaged between 400 and 500 in the night services and around 150-200 people during the morning services.  The daily Bible club saw between 80 and 100 children in attendance every morning.  We had a tremendous meeting and a superb closing service tonight.  The Bible club kids got up and sang their theme song for the week: "Hold The Fort".  Every year the young people raise money for a special missions project.

I was excited about the closing preacher - Pastor Jimmy Hood.  Bro. Hood's wife passed away almost four weeks ago.  The power of God fell on him as he preached tonight and it was a blessing to hear him.  God moved and the invitation was powerful.

29th Annual Old Time Baptist Camp Meeting

ON THE ROAD FOR 12 YEARS!

I just wanted to post this as a testimony thanking the Lord for His faithfulness!  Twelve years ago tonight the Lord put Stacie and myself into full time evangelism.  I will never forget that night as people gave sacrificially during that service to purchase us a 1985 Southwind Fleetwood motor home.  We had a few meetings booked and we were on the road.

It has been a great twelve years and the Lord has taken care of every need and provided miraculously in so many ways.  I could go on for a long time but I just want to thank the Lord for all he has done and I want to thank all of you who pray for us!

DAY 5 - OLD TIME BAPTIST CAMP MEETING - "HIGHER GROUND"

In my opinion, we had one of the best morning services I think we have ever had at the camp meeting.  The Lord really, I mean REALLY touched the preachers this morning in a big way.  It started off with Bro. Evans and then continued with Bro. Faggart and Bro. Keenan.

It was an honor to have Pastor Don Green again with us this year.  He has been the pastor of Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Lansing, Michigan for 58 years.  He preached a powerful message on "How to Raise Your Children Right".  With six children all in the ministry and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the ministry, it was a topic he is qualified to preach on.  The altars were full after the message with families coming down and praying together.

We are looking forward to seeing what the Lord is going to do tomorrow on the final day of this year's camp meeting!

DAY 4 - OLD TIME BAPTIST CAMP MEETING - "HIGHER GROUND"

Well it is hard to believe that we are now past the half-way point in this year's camp meeting.  One of the highlights of the morning service was Pastor Jeff Faggart.  He has a ministry called the Baptist History Preservation Society and today taught us about some of our Baptist forefathers who were martyred for their faith.  You can check out his web site by CLICKING HERE

And then tonight we had a great service filled with special music, congregational singing and spirit-filled preaching.  A special blessing to us was that 3 area churches moved their mid-week service to the camp meeting.  Praise the Lord for churches that can support each other.

DAY 3: OLD TIME BAPTIST CAMP MEETING - "HIGHER GROUND"

Today was the first day of the camp meeting with both morning and evening services.  It also marked the start of the Bible Club program for children in the mornings.  As they are every year, the children were all excited about it.  They really get into all of the aspects of the program: dressing up in Civil War costumes, going around hitting up the adults for money for the offerings (with all of the money going to a special missions project), the games and competition and especially the preaching.  Evangelist Robbie Morrison is back again this year the kids really love him.

Our first morning service under the tent was another blessed time.  God really worked in the preaching and there were people coming to the altars before any invitation was given.  I love it when people will do business with God when He speaks to them instead of waiting for the "Bow your heads and close your eyes"!

Tonight we saw a good moving of the Holy Ghost working on peoples' hearts during the special music.  People started coming to the altars and praying with each other, getting right, getting help and whatever business needed to be done.

The preaching night was empowered from on High and the altars were full after both messages.  There were lost people under the tent and we are praying for them to get saved before the week is over.

DAY 2: OLD TIME BAPTIST CAMP MEETING - 'HIGHER GROUND"

The first weeknight service of the camp meeting was a tremendous blessing tonight.  There was a great crowd of over 400 in attendance.  We are so thankful that many of the area churches were represented.  People from Pennsylvania, North Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia, California, Maine, other states as well as Canada and St. Lucia arrived throughout the day.

There was a great spirit in the service.  The congregational singing and special music was lively and worshipful.  The preaching tonight was absolutely "spot on" and got very personal.

29th Annual Old Time Baptist Camp Meeting

ROUND-UP: 4-H REVIVAL - Harrisville, West Virginia

If you follow the blog regularly you know that I do my best to keep it as up to date as possible.  Between being busy and "spotty" to, at times, no internet service - updates just have not been possible.  I will be posting some intermittent updates over the next few days to get everybody current on our travels over the last few weeks.

July 16-19 found us back in West Virgina at the Ritchie County 4-H grounds for a revival with Evangelist Don Hardman.  Bro. Hardman used to pastor in the area back in the early 1980's and had a burden to preach a yearly meeting there.  We first were with them at this meeting back in 2003 and returned again last year.  Some of the folks that he used to pastor come out each night and there are some visitors from other local churches who came out as well.  Bro. Hardman preached Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and I preached Tuesday.  We spent the daytime hours doing some visiting.

29th ANNUAL OLD TIME BAPTIST CAMP MEETING - "HIGHER GROUND" - Hamburg, New York

The 29th annual Old Time Baptist Camp Meeting started today and let me say what a great start the Lord gave us today!  If it could be summed up in one word it would be this: HELP!  The Lord sure wants for His saints who are weary, tired and bearing burdens to come to Him and find rest.

People were in attendance today from all over Western New York, Alabama, Florida, Virginia, Scotland and England.  A vast majority of those coming will be arriving tomorrow.
