DAY #1 - AMAZING GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH TENT MEETING - Columbus, Ohio

July 8, 2012

It was good to be back under the gospel tent again in Columbus. This is our second tent meeting of 2012 and our 11th year back in Columbus for this particular meeting. We thank the Lord that He has "cooled" it off a little bit. Yesterday it was 107 degrees and so the 90 it was today was a relief. I never thought I would see the day where I would hope for a 90-degree day. So this morning it wasn't too bad until the morning service ended then it warmed up. Tonight it was actually pretty comfortable under the tent and it's supposed to be like tonight was for the rest of the week. We are praying that's the case!

We had a good start to the day. Of course it's Columbus so there were the usual happenings during the services: the police helicopter occasionally buzzing around, multiple police, ambulance and fire sirens blaring past the tent, people walking past on the sidewalk wondering what in the world was happening and so on.

The schedule for the week is as follows:
Sundays (July 8th and 15th)
Sunday School: 10:00am
Sunday Morning: 11:00am
Prayer Meeting: 5:45pm
Sunday Evening: 6:00pm

Monday thru Saturday (July 9-14)
Prayer Meeting: 6:45pm
Service: 7:00pm

Tuesday thru Friday (July 10-13)
Morning Service: 10:00am - 12:00pm
*This will be the first year for morning services.

Evangelist Don Hardman and Evangelist Craig Cobb. Bro. Hardman has been a dear friend for 20 years and he and I have traveled many miles and preached many meetings together. We will again be together in West Virginia next week.
