Well the Lord gave us a great opening day to the annual camp meeting here at Liberty Baptist Church in Moraine, Ohio - just a few miles outside of the city of Dayton. I was honored to preach all three services today. After a couple of months of sickness going thru the church, Bro. Lovell said that most everybody was back and in their places for the kickoff of the meeting. There was good liberty in all of the services. There was a great response to the altar call this morning. The preacher said he couldn't think of a better message to start the meeting off and that it was exactly what was needed.
The Lord helped me preach tonight and I really believe God helped some people in their relationship with Him. A vast majority of the people there responded during the invitation. I am so thankful for the way God meets with us. After the service tonight there was a nice meal provided and many people stayed to fellowship. We left the property at 11:35 and there were still people sticking around. Fellowship is an important part in the life of every Christian and we always enjoy a bunch of it when we are in town at Liberty.
Both the morning and evening services were filled with congregational singing and special music. Pastor Cliff Parks from Highway Baptist Church in Dayton came over tonight and it was so good to see them again. We enjoyed eating lunch with them and the Lovell's this afternoon. Bro. Parks traveled many years in evangelism before following God's call to start Highway Baptist Church. His children are providing some of the special music in the services this week.
We prayerfully are looking to see what the Lord is going to do tomorrow. Many area churches have said they will be coming throughout the week and we look forward to that.
I will be posting some pics throughout the week and then will put a photo gallery together after the meeting.
Thank You for staying connected and "keeping up with the Cobb's"!!!!
